I showed up mid day on a Saturday and it was very busy as expected. Jacquelyn was really nice and took my order quickly and correctly. An older lady cooked my burger to perfection and my experience was very good overall. I look forward to coming back!
Frosty Boy is a classic, drive-in ice cream shop. They have been around forever, and you can tell that if the town has anything to say about it, they are going to stay in business twice that long. They have drive up parking, but they also have a drive-thru that wrapped around the building. Service was very friendly, helpful, and quick. I rarely get to this area, especially during the season they are open, but I always look forward to their pineapple whip. Unfortunately, it isn't part of their regular menu and rotates in every four weeks. I missed it :( They instead had cherry whip, which I found to be a much heavier sweet than I had been looking for. Next time, I'll probably get the banana split if pineapple isn't available, and I won't be bothered at all. This place is great and they'll definitely have something you'll like.
If you like classic drive-in food, Frosty Boy is the place to go. I chose the tenderloin sandwich today. I would classify it as a pork fritter but it's still good and the toppings are fresh. The onion chips are excellent. Make sure you save room for ice cream. The shakes and flurries are both great. Be prepared to wait if you go during the summer.
Frosty Boy is a staple in New Palestine! It's a good ice cream place and they also have a great selection of American food! Definitely a must if passing thru the area!
I’ve been going to Frosty Boy since I moved to New Pal in 1982. They have the best ice cream deserts ever! Great service & friendly staff. I love the atmosphere of days gone by.and their There is usually a line, but well worth the wait & the drive. Pineapple Milkshake is delicious! I highly recommend!
We were looking for an old style ice cream drive up in the city besides DQ. This is a little outside Marion county, but not too far for an outing. Pulled up and it was exactly what i imagined. Picnic tables, awning, and a walk up window. We ordered our ice cream and enjoyed just sitting there and taking it in. At one point a teenage couple showed up in their old Chevy pickup. They dropped the tailgate and ate in the bed, someone needed to snap a photo. Americana in real life. Definitely coming back.
My most favorite place near Indy for a quick bite. They give you so much topping on your sundaes which makes it so perfect. The reese's extreme is what I always recommend. I also love the taste of the grilled chicken sandwich!
Nice drive in. Drive thru available and usually busy. Sunday is definitely a busy day. Plenty of people working so ordering is fast. We had whipped orange waffle cones and a hamburger. Delicious!!!
